I didn't use one for my son because we had carpeting throughout the house and the wheels are notorious for getting stuck in carpet and the walker falls over, but my brother and SIL have all hardwood floors on their main floor and they've used one w/ no problems.

as you can see we have the hard wood floors to
and it is great for him . I do agree tho people that have a second floor and let the kid up there and then go falling down the steps needs to be shoot . my kid is never out of our view , kids can get hurt to easy and so many dont pay mind to that
