With the exception of the peculiarity of the small island closed in by mountain that does look fairly typical Norwegian though. Almost every household in Norway have a cabin somewhere in the middle of nothingness for vacations and such, and many of them look like that. We used to have both a coastal and a mountain cabin, but ended up selling them because there's not much time for enjoying and maintaining it any more. The coastal one was an almost exact copy of the one in the picture posted, albeit a bit longer.
