Kevin Garnett is an all round player that would be one. It's still no excuse for the performance of those NBA players that are in competition.
Once they've made it to the NBA and they have huge contracts there is no reason for them to play as hard or improve. I think we're seeing the result of a bunch of players that have allowed their skills to give way because they already have gauranteed money.
It's like Shawn Kemp, who guy was amazing until he got signed for big money, then he didn't do anything afterwards. The current setup breeds this. The college kids are still after the bread, waiting for their big break so they play hard non-stop.
Fundamentals are missing. They're more interested in looking sweet while dunking than shooting. The mailman, Karl Malone, is a classic example of a boring ugly style, but guess what, the dude always sinks the ball from mid range and long range. You just don't get many players like that any more. Part of the fault is the coaching but it's probably hard to force a multi-million dollar playerto play hard and run drills when he's making more than you are.
