Those two sentences clearly imply that Montreal, Toronto and Calgary are provinces. Wouldn't it make more sense to say something like "30 other cities in Canada" (i have no idea how many cities there are in Canada, so stfu in advance) given that you made reference to cities in the previous sentence, and not provinces?

Also, isn't it odd that he learned about Canadian
provences in HISTORY class? Aren't these things more typically taught in geography either in a generalized social-studies class, or as an adjunct to politics?
