Your logo banner at the top is freaking huge at 22K. If you have to show off that much at least slice it up into pieces using Adobe ImageReady for MacroMedia Fireworks. Those progs can also optimize the image to make it smaller. With that much whitespace in the logo you probably could get by with spacer.gif's in a table. Like an earlier member said you text or images with few colors should always be gif's. Pics and photos are almost always jpeg's.
