My favourite is when they kill the dog by "accident". Happens all the time, apparently. Even neighbours' dogs.
I thought it was in the wording of the search warrant that it had to be served at a time when the person was expected to be home and during normal waking hours. It wasn't an arrest warrant after all, just a search warrant.
