I heard "through the grapevine" that there's a new robot in beta that adds and deletes user passwords at will and spiders your members areas looking at compliance.
One problem seems to be, if a robot is looking at "compliance" issues, then why is it downloading "x" meg of content bandwidth ?
I won't post the thread here, but if anyone wants it, ICQ me. 121760557
ccBill is getting on real thin ice with me anyhow. Affiliate sales (MINE) showing up but not in our admin? We're making screenshots of transcations now, because I'm getting real tired of "there's no bugs in our system".

from another board CCbill APU Robot is in beta testing. The thing keeps manually adding and deleting itself thru my ccbill admin. It's only been going on since June. Anyway. it took CCbill quite a long time to come up with this explanation but I finally got one yesterday and I got my ass taken out of their APU Robot Beta Test. Why? I'll tell you, CCbill couldn't tell me where this traffic/transfer was coming from. So naturally I thought it was a CCbill CSR just browsing my site for shits and giggles. You see the username/password that the CCbill spider is using happens to be the 9th, yes ninth heaviest user on my site. Visitng on a daily basis to check for illegal words and download files. CCbill finally told me the max file size is 5 megs and at this time they can not say how frequent or how long these visits will last. The spider has been on my site every nite for at least 45 minutes at a clip. CCbill told me not to tell anybody but I figure, we should all know.
Your ccbill password file will be written to by a ccbill ip addy and if you check you ccbill file or error log, you will see all the ip's are from Cave Creek. Really lousy way of treating you clients I'd say. If they put me back on the beta bullshit apu robot test, I'll just take down their buttons and promote my site using any of the 3 other processors I already have up and running.

Here's the response:

From ccBill Hello, this is mark from ccbill. My initial reaction was not to post anything; however, I wanted to address one issue. We are in the Beta stage of a New Policy Review System that we have been working on for quite some time. One of the features includes a spyder that evaluates a client?s site and looks for certain ?bad? keywords. While we need to make our clients aware of what we need to do to ensure that our AUP is followed and how this may affect them, there is a fine line between handing everyone the specific rule-ets/details/variables that the system uses, due to the inherent (and very probable) risk of dubious individuals using that precise knowledge to circumvent the Policy Review System.
That said, considering the initial post, we may be forced to reevaluate some of the variables in the systems that we had designed. I am not going to make any further comments, if anybody wants to reach me, please feel free to do so via icq or email.
