Maybe he is out looting and pillaging?

damn huns.

"Who were the Huns? No one knows for sure. Many experts think they were a Turkic people, descended from the warlike Xiongnu (or Hsiung-nu) tribes that menaced China as early as the 5th century BC, and perhaps much earlier. The first emperor of China, Shi Huangdi, built part of the Great Wall to keep the Xiongnu out.

Although the Xiongnu conquered lands north of China, including Mongolia and parts of Manchuria and Siberia, they remained roving hunters and warriors, without settlements or farms of their own -- at least, that's what historians used to think. Modern archaelogists have found evidence that the Xiongnu did build cities and grow crops.

Over the centuries, the Xiongnu's ferocious horseback warriors invaded China again and again. Between 304 and 439 AD, northern China was overrun by rival barbarian tribes, including the Xiongnu. This era in Chinese history is called "the Sixteen Kingdoms." The Xiongnu are not mentioned in Chinese historical records after the 5th century. Again, no one is sure what happened to them, but they may have been the ancestors of other nomadic tribes -- including the Huns....."
