Slayer is very much alive and granted they felt dead after "Diabolus In Musica" but their new album kicks major ass...
I'd love to see them perform too, but I doubt they will, the last few years, the Metal category hasn't even been televised...they've ben presented in previous ceremonies with the polka, liner notes and best perfomance by a dead person faking a duet with a living person categories...
yeah, the Metallica fiasco sucked...fucking Jethro Tull is a decent band, but most definately not metal...I remember the nominees were AC/DC, Metallica, Iggy Pop, Jethro Tull and Jane's Addiction and everyone and their mother thought it was going to be Metallica...even Lita Ford and Alice Cooper, who were presenting...
fuck, now I'm pissed just remembering it...but hopefully is Slayer loses, then SlipKnot ends up winning it ;)
