The children were black. Don't take your attention deficit disorders out on people who actually read the whole of the article.
The article stated that an official had to accidentally recognize the ACCENTS of the kids before they knew something was up. This pretty much gives it away. If the kids were White then the Nigerian government would have tried to find out where they were from at the moment they got their hands on them. But since they were Black, they blended in and were put in an orphanage.
