Yes look at japan, devistated by the bombs, unable to legally form a military due to the peace treaty and yet they rebuilt themselves, the main reason, they refused to take a hand out and did it mostly by banding together to remain a super power. But how our invasions of Iraq and us dropping bombs on a nation that sided with an invading army and also launched an attack on U S soil have any kind of connection I would like you to let me know cuz i do not see it.
The story got attention because they were seven of our own most of all, I will play devil's advocate and say we do not know the race of these children BUT one can assume that the adoptive parents were white and that the number of white adoptive parents who adopt non white children is much lower than those who do adopt only white kids. There are probably orphans from other areas of Africa there under simular situations but the thing is America think that all areas of Africa are like that so the thought of them suffering is common and not going to raise an eyebrow amongst the masses here. Yes there will be many who do not care about the differances and feel terrible about it but for the most part it is all about our own and how they should not be in the same position as those other kids. I guess we can just say at least 7 are saved, what are the missionaries doing about the rest of the kids though?
