I wasn't there, but I've heard nothing good about this particular event so far. However, from the one event I have gone to (which was very small), a lot of business took place, even though it was only a 30 person event that spanned an office and two nightclubs.
I'm not crazy about not doing business face to face. I guess I just like to see body language and other such things that can't be expressed in virtual space.
