Smaller more private parties in hospitality suites or other smaller loactions are the way to go. Especially if you are attending to not only have fun but also do some business. Sponsors of these get more attention to their product than the huge free for all parties that mostly consist of guests that won't even remember or care who had the party to start with.
I gave up on attending the top featured Internext parties years ago. If I want to go to an over crowded club, not be able to carry on a conversation because of the noise, and be treated like shit I can find about 50 clubs in my home town to go to.
So my advice for people that are looking to get thier product seen at trade shows via parties is to find another company that is doing a small venue or hospitality suite and see if they would like to co-sponsor it with you or host your own.
Oh and I guess I am suppose to say 50 here.
