someone mentioned lawsuit already. ridiculous. gfy is too generic, people use it in online games all the time:
stfu...
no u stfu...
gfy...
no u gfy.... etc.

highly doubt it. not even worth the trouble. easier to work out a price that's win/win. the seller knows what he has but needs to realize that he won't be able to flip the name to anyone else for much money. and LENS does NOT need the name. so seller should take whatever he can get and re-invest it into other domains, etc. flip it and move on.... before he makes LENS "not" care anymore. GFY doesn't need gfy.com, but it all comes down to 4 main objectives:

1) traffic loss
2) surfer convenience
3) shorter email address
4) vanity

even I gave in earlier this year. after I acquired OFFICIAL.com, we started shopping around our website and retail shopping network to partners/VC. Owning OFFICIAL.com was already good enough, but after speaking with enough partners about the "Official Shopping Network" that would piggyback Official.com's launch, we were internally referring to it as OSN, (like HSN: Home Shopping Network) and after seeing/hearing it so many times we had to break down and make an offer on OSN.com, and let me tell you, it was not cheap because of the pedigree (MSN,GSN,CSN,HSN, etc) but looking back now it came down to those 4 objectives I mentioned earlier. I had to have it. Now we have to figure out how many different brands OSN could represent: online, sports, sex, storage, site, security, network, news, etc.

we had to have OSN.com because we'll be branding it from the ground up. gfy doesn't need the .com ANYMORE because LENS has already built a great brand that everyone has bookmarked or like me, always has a window open to it. YEP.

and with a name like Adult.com in your portfolio, who cares about gfy.com
