Originally, I had no intention to use Curious.com for a adult/dating site until my banker & parents asked me if I was building a "sex" site.  they said when they heard the name, it made them think about young people looking to "experiment". I originally bought it for a kids site, but it works fine either way...

And I love Curious.com -- a number of our sites (AdultFriendFinder.com, ALT.com, OUTPersonals.com) have as part of their appeal the idea that you can experiment with your sexuality, try something different, etc.
