Not true. The guns don't have any problem, but if the cop is new, he may get confused enough to question it... meaning, not pulling you over. Troopers that have been around a while, know exactly what's going on. They've seen thousands of people slam on their brakes... it's usually the first reaction.
But as far as the guns, it's just a momentary switch on the dash. Flipped once, and it captures your speed. In the blink of an eye. Kinda like a camera. There's really no fooling it. This is why, if you ask to see the reading, most will gladly show you. And no.... don't get all hostile and demand it... because he doesn't HAVE to show you a damn thing. Be nice, and he may.
