If you're determined to maximize your travelling time, your best bet is a combination of things.
1. A good police scanner.
2. A good citizens band radio.
3. Travel in groups or packs or other vehicles exceeding the limit.
4. Know your route. Try to know as much about your route as possible. Troopers tend to use hiding places that have worked for them in the past. If you see something suspicious, like a rock wall with a blind corner on it... chances are, someone may be using it as a clocking position.
5. Keep an eye on the air. Planes are frequently used to clock you, then radio a trooper to intercept.
6. Use your head, your eyes, and your ears... and know when to slow down.
