I could have been much easier to take over a building that does not have an ongoing biz, so the price could have been much more flexable, the bouncers work for club and take direction from the top, they have no brains and do what they are told by managment, and that comes from the top.
For our industry and the money we have not to take over a place 100% is a fucking joke, it was embarrassing to have some muscle dick treat us and everyone else like shit was so very un cool. I feel sorry for sponsors that put money to bring a great time to everyone at show.
When planning function of this size, it takes someone who knows what the fuck they are doing, making this kind of massive mistake is just not good. Doing an event like this is something I can do in my sleep, and had this little feeling this was going to happen.
Good luck getting money back from club, slime balls run places like that, and just kiss the cash good bye, it was the person that signed the deal with the club, shame on them for doing it there in the first place, and not getting details straight with club, sad.
Why this show was not done in one of the ball rooms of the hotel? Christ we took over the entire hotel, why not? It would have cost a fraction of what it would have ending up being, everyone would have had fun, no stupid 45 min ride, etc etc etc......

I'm curious as to why this location? I wasn't there, but when you are taking over a club, what does it matter how busy it is normally? Why would you want to compete with an existing following the club has? Especially south beach, ack.
