She was being evicted from her apartment and the state wanted the court to declare her incompetent. Firefighters had to cut a hole in the wall to get her out of the house. This woman fought the state claiming that just because she lived in filth that she wasnt crazy. My friend had to represent her legal rights and didnt believe she was crazy but almost wanted the court to rule against her just so she would get help.
She also had family that would bring her food but I don't know if they were ever charged with neglect.

I can't imagine how the attorney survived all of this questionning her.
