Grey market is paying for signals not available for sale in your country by going through a broker who sets you up an address in the country you wish to order programming for. Canada feels US TV corrupts them so it is not available there other than that which drifts over the border from off-air or canadian versions of US channels (like Food TV Canada and Tech TV Canada).
