Since when was a SEARCH ENGINE the fucking internet police?
This is gay. If they got a problem with a site showing up in serps, go after the damn site owner, not the engine that displays the site as a result on a page that was generated as part of a search script doing it's job. Google has nothing to do with it however I can see why they do it, let google take care of the problem for them so they can continue to ride the cash cow and not have to work themselves
I think people giving google a 'legal' hard time about it's results are plain and simple extorsionists and crooks takign advantage of people who are scared to death of the word "copyright"
Also, putting the legal squeeze on someone because they got a result with suposed "copyrighted term" is utter bullshit. Especialy if the ad materials being used are legit. Even if not legit who cares. It doesn't affect them if they do their own marketing to secure the keywords. Instead of these morons suing and threatenig anyone who does well, why don't they do well themselves and secure the words for themselves (it's called WORKING for results) instead of intimidatign everyone into not using them at all.
what next? Sue google unless ALL terms 'copyrighter' are forwarded directly to their own pages? What happens if a serps is done by accident and not intentional? Will they get legal emails too?
This stinks.
Xpays, you should be ashamed of yourself for being a part of this trend. People like your employer see someone doing well on a keyword they want for themselves, then shit hits the fan. Your boss should be WORKING to gain the keywords dontcha think? Worse is, it's not even his work it was paris who did the fucking.
Nasty trend Wait until someone does well with something, then get ont heir ass screaming copyrights then benefit from it. Almost, Acacia'ish
