If you can afford it, maybe rent a small office space somewhere near your home. Go to work just like any other profession.

Or invest in some heavy duty locks, and when you go to your office, treat it like your actually away from your home. Lock the door, come out occasionally for breaks, etc...

Or do what I do, work on your sites in the middle of the night, when there are no distractions. Everyone is asleep, you can hear everything, (so there is usually no suprises), and still lock your office door.

Also, it might be wise to invest in a computer for your kid. A crappy little one, they won't know the difference. Like maybe buy them a Dell, or HP, or a Compaq. Just something you can throw away in a couple of years.

Tell them that yours is yours, and theirs is theirs. And be firm about it.

Who the fuck am I to tell you what to do?

Just use your best judgement.

Here's come interesting questions...
Do you at some point tell your child what you do for a living?
Do you lie about it?
Should you be honest and upfront with them, keep no secrets?
If you do hide it, when they do find out, (and they will), will they hate you for lying?
Are you setting a good example by lying?

I'm a 6 day old Daddy, so I will need answers to those questions.
