I guess the question is is a lie that is based on bad info still a lie. If I tell you that my friend is letting me use his truck so I can help you move something with it then my friend backs out and won't let me use his truck was me telling you I would help you a lie?
Bush was told by several sources that Iraq posed no threat.
No less than 8 nuclear scientist told him that the aluminum tubes they found were not for enriching uranium.
Yet he still went on national TV and told us that they were a threat and were trying to develop nukes. Is that not a lie?
Powell went before the UN and told them we know exactly where the chemical and biological weapons are but then it turns out those were water trucks not trucks carrying chemicals for weapons. Is that not a lie?
Yes there was a bunch of wrong information but when someone tells you something, you belive it and present it to others as the truth and then it's found out that that info was wrong, so you were wrong doesn't that then turn your truth into a lie?
