Man I can't even imagine that as we just had our first a few years ago and is by far the most important thing in my life atm...
This does feel 'almost' what I'd imagine loosing a kid would be like though...in a way our 2 dogs have been our kids for 99% of our married life...just a little over 12 years now....
Was talking to the wife tonight and I guess the feeling of 'loosing a kid' makes sense since dogs and pets never really 'grow up' and leave the house, etc...they are always dependent on you, etc...

I usually don't get all bent out of shape like this...I don't think I've ever missed someone so much since my grandmother that raised me died...many years ago...
