First point is just because you and the rest of the Kerry lovers say the book and the advertisement are trash doesn't make it so. Same for the DNC, CNN, Move-on.org, Michael Moore or your other information sources.
I'm originally from Massachesetts and have seen both O'Neill and Kerry in multiple debates in the 70's and I'm quite familar with both. I remember Kerry's trashing of Vietnam vets, the accusation of atrocities (which were never proven or verified), his admission of HIS OWN atrocities, tossing of metals, and his wonderful anti-war book which he is trying to hide now as well:

O'Neill is a veteran, and in fact served as replacement commander on the same boat as Kerry , except he served for a full year instead of bugging out early (4 months). So he has a rather direct connection to the story and the people involved.
To summarize and simplify the debate for you left wing morons; what you have is most of the guys( except 1) who served under Kerry saying he is a good guy. The boat has a six man crew. The SwiftVets are his fellow officers and enlisted men on the other boats in Coastal Division 11(Kerry's unit) are the ones questioning Kerry's action. Many of the missions were 2-4 boats so these guys are in a position to see Kerry up close and personal. What was even more damning is that Rear Admiral Roy Hoffman, who was in charge of all the Swift Boats and other Naval units in the area is a member of this group and would have not granted Kerry the Silver Star if all the facts were known at that time. The medal was awarded within two days without the normal review.
The facts, accusations, details are all in the book. Multiple Naval officers and enlisted men specify events, dates and times. Without actually reading the book(#1 on Amazon w/o even being released) then how can you (digi-asshole) immediately dismiss it , unless you are a biased, close-minded, left-wing, jackass...... which like so many here, you undoubtably are. I'll read the book, wait for the rebuttals, and then make an informed decision. There is going to be a lot of debate on this subject.
