that's the only reason why the us rules though. if bush had said fuck you all, -> to the u.n. , not dicked around... and just went in and finished it without lying, do you think anyone would have cared?
and besides wtf are we or me or you gonna do about it?
he should stop catering to the non voting hippies and throw down if he wants to do it. beats lying about it anyway.
Why do you think he "made a case" and had to lie in the process of doing so?

Apart from lying to the US people, he lied to other nations - and the UN.

There is no way in hell even the "might" of the US can stand against world opinion and it sure ain't the reason why the "us rules".

We have not even begun to see many things changing in "US relationships" yet - tho these are substantial in the background at all levels. I'd suspect some will come into the open if the day happens when Bush is re-elected. The effects on the US would overall be dramatic in economic and other terms.

This is a nation which did have credibility internationally, but that has... almost deliberately.. been wiped out by the administration's conduct.

Why do you think.. eg.. the US is getting no help over Iraq? It's not by accident that almost all nations are declining cooperation "nicely". There will be no help until Iraq has a democratically elected government who are qualified to act - not another version of a US influenced "Iraqi Governing Council".

It was the US to chose to act and invade Iraq - why should other countries bail them out while at the same time the US is persuing it's original agenda? They can sort there own shit out that they started.

Bush did say.. fuck you all, and the effects are showing. It will take decades to repair/reverse the damage. This does not sound like some "US rules" shit to me - it's a fucking disaster that has cost that nation many lives and many more lives of these "unaccounted for" people in Iraq plus billions in tax dollars to US people.

It ain't over yet by a long stretch and is in keeping with the other "US adventures" into the world.
