Well, you're not gonna get a patent on something that is widely used by everyone, i.e TGP.... patents are for something unique that YOU have invented. Sort of like Al Gore's patent on his little invention, "The Internet".
Copyright is inherent to any of your
original works, be that copy, photos, artwork, sculptures, blah blah blah.... so it's copyright from the moment you create it. There's no forms to submit to the Feds for that.
