If you want money from college students, then start a small pizza place that sells pizza by the slice and frozen yogurt. You'll be rolling in it in no time.

I live in Boston with a billion colleges here and near all the colleges are pizza places, fast food places, small convenience stores, apartment rental places and hair/nail salons.

if you really want to make money with dogs though, i think you and your friends could start a dog walking/pet sitting service.
Youd need to live in a place where there are a lot of apartment buildings and people living close together in order to make it work.
You can only make big money from a pet care service through volume, like having 4 different clients living on 1 building. thats how you make your money.
College students arent a good target because they dont have much money. You should try to get adults because they spend tons of money on their dogs.

I know a girl who lost her job and started a dog walking service with 1 dog. by the end of the week she had 13 clients. 6 years later she has over 25 part time employees, 2 offices and the business makes over a million a year. She does walking, sitting, grooming, puppy school, etc etc.
