2257 compliance question

follow my train of thought here..

2257 was originally developed as a tool to ensure that all models are over 18. there has been a lot of hype and hysteria about 2257, but at the end of the day.. if all your models ARE over 18 at the time of the shoot, and you can gather the proof of it if ever asked, whether you keep it on file at your business etc....

can they really prosecute you... im guessing the obvious answer is yes, but whats the worst they can really do to you - a hefty fine, jail time..

lets remember this is just a law for record keeping.. from what i understand, it seems like a law in place just so they can add another crime to the list, (i.e. you do child porn, well now you have child porn and 2257 violations, etc.)

am I far off the mark?
