About 2 months ago I spent almost $2,000 with Moses at World Wide. This was my first time as a buyer; I shoot my own content, but my new project means buying content. I know of a lot of content providers, and checked them all out, and I decided to make Moses an offer on 100+ scenes.
During the haggling process, he was always a gentleman -- even when we went back and forth on prices/quanities of scenes.
Part of the deal we finally struck: the content was to be delivered to me on hardrive.
Harddrive shows up, on schedule. I load the first scene, begin to render, and the harddrive crashes. Really crashes. (This is why we now steer clear of Western Digital HD's...it's not the first time a WD took a shit on me).
I begin to worry. I need Moses to not only make good on a new harddrive, but to transfer the scenes *again* on to the new harddrive.
We all know about this business and some of the people in it...people who aren't professionals. I'm thinking the worst as I watch the HD fail over and over.
In the end, Moses and World Wide came through. Totally. New harddrive. Content shipped again in a timely manner. Apologies. Phone numbers given no problem. No dodging ICQ's. No dodging phone calls. Total pros from beginning to end.
I know where I'm going to buy more content when I'm ready to buy again.
Thanks Moses.
