I'm going to try one more time to explain what I was trying to get at earlier. Now that I'm less annoyed, perhaps it will be clearer (or maybe not).

I understood/assumed/believed (delete as appropriate) that it was common practice in the adult industry to maintain the confidentiality of the relationship between sponsors and webmasters. Hence e.g. sponsors do not reveal the real names of people behind their "nicks" and they send out nice, unassuming checks that make little or no reference to their origins (how many times have people posted on here because they couldn't figure out from what sponsor a check came from - a lot!)

I am very happy to receive the checks (including from Adult.com of course!).

I assume since this is a business relationship that they are also happy to be able to send me the checks because it means that *they* have *also* made money out of the signups I brought them (if this wasn't the case, *on average*, then sponsors would shut down pretty quickly)

I guess I over-reacted a little though, but it was just so glaringly out of place compared to the until now low-key and genteel relationship.
