If I like and/or respect you, I will continue to do so until such time as I am given a reason to do otherwise. I don't care who you're fucking, who you're arguing with, who you're mad at, or who you can't bloody well stand.
If I happen to like and/or respect the person you can't stand, I am not going to take sides. There are three sides to every story: his side, your side, and the right side. I don't care who said what to whom, I ain't in it. If you insist that I take sides, preferably yours, I will lose a great deal of respect for you.
Don't feed me evidence, don't gimme any shit, and don't claim that I'm on your side. I'm not. I'm not on anyone's side but mine unless evidence is given that is absolutely rock solid, without a doubt proof. Then I'll take sides.
