To answer your question in a nutshell. All of our sites will be brought under compliance with the new rules during the grace period. We will not begin changing anything until the actual revisions take place, in order to minimize the work load.

We have consulted with more than one attorney on these matters as they are written now. Unlike many I do not get a "sky is falling" mentality from them.

Couple of small points. In California in regards to the privacy laws. You do need someone's permission to share private information, with the exception of when you are complying with the laws ('s). Does not help with models safety of course, but at same time the revised regulations do not run against the grain of California privacy laws, which this state does have some of the toughest privacy and anti-stalking laws in the country. Nor do the revised regulations go against the Federal privacy act.

In regards to your question about free content. We have a solution that was custom done for us that will bring us fully into proposed compliance while allowing us to still provide free content. Our solution does not put anyone at risk, nor will require exstensive background checks of our affiliates. At very most it will just be a small inconvience to the affiliates which they will have to deal with if they desire free content usage.
