If I had to select I would say Republican because Kerry wants to look too close to home instead off looking at the source. I have some grasp of the liberal point of view but they seem too constrained to the US borders and seem more concerned with abortion, taxes, etc... then the safety of the land.

To answer the thread's question, I became a Republican only after seeing the Democratic ticket.
I agree, national security is FAR more important than anything else.
