No, it was really over when he fired his trainer Kevin Rooney....and you could even make the argument that it was really over when Cus D'Amato passed away.

Either way, he's been done for a long time....his greatest strength was his defense and once Rooney and D'Amato weren't around, he quit playing defense and tried to rely on landing the one big shot.
