Murder doesn't have to have motive but it does have to have intent. Soooo for it to be manslaughter, you basically have to have someone who kills someone without meaning to, and without the knowledge that what they were doing would cause death.
Murder has to have a person knowing that their actions could result in death, but continues on.
I would think getting into a vehicle weighing over 1000 pounds, in a place where there are pedestrians and other vehicles, and making the choice to watch a DVD instead of the road would meet the requirements for murder....
