not all stitches are small and invisible - for the most part they are still using the old black sticthing thread still,
don't worry about it too much at this stage but if there's no visible healing in a few days - one week go see a doc

healing time depends really on 2 factors - how deep and big the cut s .. and how fast a "healer" you are - everyone's different
