I got kicked in the mouth during BJJ class yesterday and it punched a big hole in my lip, so I had to get a tetanus shot and stitches yesterday at Kaiser.

Aren't stitches supposed to be tight and almost invisible? I have thread hanging out the corner of my mouth and this shit is STILL all swollen up on the inside. Anyone ever had stitches on their lip? How long does it take to heal?
