Another reason for a guy to feel depressed. No money really sucks. Ask him if he would like to make some money in porn.  Once he's making some money his self esteem will go up a bit.

How on earth can a guy get 300 porn tapes with no money? You mean he downloads vcds off the Internet? Have you even asked him how many of them he as actually even watched? I bet he as watched less than 20 of them. Maybe he collects them to use up his time.
Sounds like your interested in this guy but your afraid of his mental problems. Don't you have anxiety problems too? If you like him, give him a chance.

He used to work before, and he always rents DVD's and records them to tape... He never had a lot of money, but at least some... He only dropped out of school around March or April, but the porn is a massive collection he amassed probably from when he was a teen until now, so that's like many years worth of tapes.
I don't think he should sell porn because his mind is so disillusioned, it would be unhealthy for him. He told me if he could get it to work again he would even shoot his own porn, and his mind is so whacked right now I don't think he can deal with it.
The point is not that he can get it up, the point is that he is very very disillusional and thinks he is going to die. The whole family is so used to him being "weird" and "off" I wonder if they seriously realize that he has serious issues? Mental people can act real normal, and still be cool. To them it's probably normal, but it's not...
I don't think I have anxiety problems at all... I probably have issues of my own, but I certainly don't imagine things like he does... He's really out there..
