Well, in a weird sort of way it's no different than a baseball scout contacting a guy on the highschool team about coming to spring tryouts...sort of. I mean as long as they aren't posing under 18, and he goes through the right channels (i.e. Contacting the parents first and all parties are in agreement on said issue) I don't see where it's that big a deal.
