Actually, this is the case in all industries. As soon as an innovative product comes out, someone will be there to "improve" it slightly and make a profit off of it. There are first movers and there are followers.

That's not true. Just because people feel comfortable keeping a status quo doesn't mean that there's a limit to how much innovation can occur within an industry. In case the status quo seems to be too stable (which I don't think is the case) then, if anything, the industry needs more entrants. Or dumb fucking noobs, as some people on this board would like to call them.
