You are supposed to break it down into upper and lower body and have one full day of rest per week. Muscle is actually built by tearing your muscles..these muscles require time to heal/build.
So what you do is:
Mon - Wed - Fri - Upper body
Tue - Thurs - Sat - Lower body
As long as you NEVER work the same muscle group 2 days in a row you will build muscle.
