I definately agree - this way you can concentrate on one body part and work it up - another thing you may want to do is seperate your excercise so you do push excercises one day and then pull excercises another. That way you get optimal rest time inbetween.
ie.
Do chest - triceps on one day and then back and biceps the next day - that way the major muscle groups get a good rest.
