I think namecheap has a special running now where you get free whois-protect for all transferred domains
At 8.88 they are slightly more expensive than some others but their interface is extremely fast loading and very well organized.
They have all those free DNS and whatnot features as well, including multiple IPs for round robin, email thingy's and whatnot
