PERCEIVED VALUE - when a price is placed on content surfers feel there is a reason to purchase that content. If you put up galleries of every day stuff it will not sell. If you put up hot, exclusive content it will sell. It will sell any way it is marketed. You just need to give the surfers a reason.
Payasyouclick it starting a promotion for surfers. When they sign up and fund an account for $10 they will get an additional $5 FREE!! Now just imagine the creativity Webmasters around here can come up with to sell the concept. Surfers love FREE offers.
One way Payasyouclick can be promoted is to sell a trial 24 hour sign up (or any other time period) to a paysite for $2.
The next day when the surfer returns to use their password they can be offered a monthly rate via credit card or ACH online checking. This is a great way to get interest and upsell a surfer.
Pay per view has been the buzz word in this industry for a long time. To do pay per view you usually need use DRM or some other sophisticated licensing to charge.
