You are a very good idiot. if you have a business and you are filing taxes for that business then a CPA's job is to become intimately familiar with your business so that he can better assist you in minizing your tax liabilty.
If you are forced to buy 80 dildos and 60 gallons of KY --- he needs to know it was for business, how it is used in that business and determine what portion of it is a legitimate write off as well as all other business expenses. He has to know the question the IRS might ask about your business and the answer to every question as well.
What the fuck do you think a CPA does? Any idiot can file their own personal income taxes.
I have 16 active companies right now. I can't imagine telling my CPA and accountants _ "Don't worry about what company XYZ does... some idiot on gofuckyourself.com said you don't need to know... you just file the taxes on the total income without any write-offs"
