sorry to hear you didn't get more signups yesterday bro.. Both me and hawg were here rooting for everyone to get more signups than ever.. I was even waving my magic signup wand over my computer and praying for everyone to make tons of loot cakes! God I so much wanted to come out to GFY and see nothing but praise, praise, praise. *sigh*
Overall ratios system wide were only slightly higher than normal yesterday (very slightly) than the day before and concidering the large influx of TGP traffic etc, I would have thought it would be much higher so I dont know what happend to some webmasters ratios. I can tell you that we had just as many that had better than normal days too. *shrug*
I still remember back in the days when I had the dis-pleasure of participating in a big promo day, it was a 100$ signup day (no names) and I worked my ass off submitting to TGP's and purchased some listings, etc, you name it.. sites were down part of the time, the rest of the time they were running dog ass slow and I barely broke even that day, It was a total disappointment! and I swore off big promo days which didn't really happen, I was right back come the next big promo which was a 75$ day actually if my memory stands correct. So I think I understand exactly why so many webmasters are leary and even paranoid of big promo days, hell just the thought still makes me feel all queezy and shit..
So when we started building this system I kept all that shit in mind, hawg asked me what we should do and so we got the biggest and beefiest servers we could get our hands on, put them behind mechanical load balancers so that if one server choaks, the others take up the slack instantly without missing a beat and got us on our own multiple gigbit lines so we can burst some major fucking bandiwidth (promo-day slow-site syndrome, no more!). I wrote the software from the ground up keeping in mind that I wanted to be able to handle more than any affiliate system I have ever dealt with has probably even seen.. what I ended up with was what you see now, APC, what I feel is one of the most technologically advanced, most stable affiliate system ever concieved.
Top that all off with exclusive content that sells itself, tons of promo to start with and a shit load more to come, b-e-a-u-tiful tours, multiple credit processors, credit on checks, web900 etc.. I think you just can't go wrong with APC IMO
I stand behind what we've setup and strongly feel that our system can and will outperform anything out there! I just hope for the few of you that had a bad day yesterday will think it through and reconcider us in the days ahead. You can trust APC, you got my word on that!
