Sorry to hear about that. But I have heard and experienced way worse stories in hospitals and convalescent homes.

And I figure you might already realize to NEVER leave any expensive jewelry on your loved ones when they are in any sort of hospital.

I had a Great-Grandmother go through a bunch of jewelry after being in a home for 2-3 years before she passed away. She was so old and sick, but still wanted her jewelry on. Eventually we just started getting her cheap silver rings and things to wear because we could not watch her 24/7 and the motherfuckers just kept stealing even like $6 silver rings off her fingers.

Few things are worse than negligent medical workers.
