Quit smoking man!

The most important factor in really quitting is absolutely grasping that you can no longer go on like this, that there is really no other way.

Most people have no clue how incredibly bad smoking is. Public information always focusses on lung tumors and that's it. But let me tell you as future doctor that tumors account for only a few percent of all the malacies associated with smoking. For example: every smoker will once get COPD, the group comprising emphysema and chronic bronchitis - and let me tell you, this kind of shortage of breath doesn't feel nice, and it potentially deadly. You must at least have heard of all the heart/vessel diseases smoking causes. Not only lung tumors are caused by smoking, the chance of developing a tumor of virtually any kind is (sometimes greatly) increased with smoking. The list goes on and on, name a disease and chances are it's associated with smoking.

Don't you have that feeling that with every cigarette you smoke, you're willingly destructing your body, the most precious thing you will ever have?

I hope you quit.
