Amp, I think what quiet meant was NOT giving info away, but his site... I.E his business model..


it's a thing for me to tell people that in order to make a gallery page look good, they have to SELL the page to the user.. make him horny, or SELL the site, so it sounds like a bargain.

or to say cropping the thumbs, and sharpening them is always gonna make 'em look better..

But it's another to tell them exactly WHAT to say, or What combo to do or what design I use that works great..

let's say for example (something that is not the case, but to show what I mean) I would do avs... and everytime I finish my pages with a thumbnail next to the words "ain't she good!" I go and make 200% more sales than when I don't...

or, let's say just putting a blinking shit next to it... gives me better sales.

well, if I go and say to everyone : do that... well, next thing you know, you get tons of people doing it, and therefore no longer unique... I.E less sales to me...


that is only a simple example...

But take quiet...

I assume he has a Tight model...

say he has SOMETHING on his sites that most people don't have...

an idea, or a concept not exploited by most...

he knows where to get the traffic... I.E he maybe buys Quality SE traffic Cheap, where not many people know they can buy from there.. I.E say he buys at 3¢ a click, and returns 1$ a click...
Say he does plenty of AVS sites to feed those, but with just the right stuff for his business model... making it highly profitable..


NOW... should he tell a lot of people, here's what would happen.

1- someone would copy his CENTER model... I.e they'd do a paysite or something like what he does using the same key factors he was alone to use...

that will result in surfers getting used to that, I.E less people joining, or staying not as they used to (since there's more to see somewhere else)

2- the 3¢ a click SE traffic he used to buy... was returning 1$ a click.. HIGHLY profitable... but now, since more are there, it'll only return say 50¢... but STILL a good deal... so before... investing say 3,000$ and getting 100,000$ a month... but now, the same 3,000$ but say 50,000$

3- Now that more people have the paysite idea of Quiet, they will look into that traffic source they can get, and MAYBE they'll stumble upon his magical 3:50 SE source... But, if he is to tell where he gets his SE traffic to many, it won't be only a FEW to stumble upon it, but way
more...

I.e, laws of Offer/Demand will make the link sell not at 3¢, but maybe 25¢...

so, if he was investing 3000$ a month and getting 50,000$ from it, now he'd be investing 25,000$ and getting 50,000$

4- now that people took interest in him and know what paysites he run, they can go and search the AVS list and see his model... so here again, he would loose his edge...

Now, he might be the first using that model, which would leave him over everyone else, with more control.... BUT... With more and more people coming, it'll saturate his biz... and to keep the same income, he'll have to work MORE to keep himself at the top... cuz don't fool yourself... Surfers are more and more demanding because they can get more and more..

Now, I'm not saying talking with people is a bad thing...

but you gotta choose them wizely..

I know myself, and I know that I would be the type of guy I'd tell lots of thing to myself... (uh, sounds wrong!)

I mean, whenever I hear things, I don't tell them to many people...

when I hear concepts and ideas I deem profitable, my mouth is shut...

and when someone shoot the shit with me and gets to know me better and tells me stuff he asks me not to tell a soul, well, I never tell a soul, not even a partner that could benefit from it...


Because, if you do have a good model... and you partner with 3-4 trustworthy people... that can help bring traffic, and make it even better..

you might grow the profits 10 fold if done right, if no leaks..
